Remote (in-house) Litigation Production Paralegal - temp (6 months)

Our client, a large FinTech company, is seeking a paralegal with prior in-house experience, preferably in a technology setting, to join its legal team. The role involves providing organizational and substantive support to the litigation team, developing new systems and procedures for operational efficiency, and collaborating with paralegals, attorneys, legal operations, and other internal teams. The position reports to one of the Litigation Leads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, research, and track all incoming litigation matters, including demands, lawsuits, and arbitrations. Tasks include updating case files, handling case-related communications, managing invoices and payments, maintaining the litigation calendar, and performing administrative duties.
• Implement litigation holds and ensure compliance with the company's document retention policies.
• Handle discovery requests and assist with discovery production, including collection of documents and managing interrogatories, subpoenas, and document requests.
• Review and process incoming mail, including service of process.
• Track, research, and respond to customer complaints escalated to the legal department.
• Draft and submit responses to information requests from government agencies and legal demands.
• Coordinate with internal product, business, and compliance teams, as well as external advisors and experts.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of paralegal experience, with a preference for candidates with both in-house and private practice backgrounds.
• Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels, work under pressure, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Experience with e-discovery, Macs, GSuite, Adobe, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and JIRA is advantageous.
• Team-oriented attitude and goal-driven skills.
• Interest in learning and developing expertise in new systems and legal subjects.
