The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The expected starting pay range for this position is $33.54 - $42.18 an hour.

The Denver City’s Attorney’s Office is seeking an experienced Paralegal II to join the Municipal Operations Section. The selected candidate will be a valued member of the City Attorney’s Office Municipal Operations section and will perform intermediate level paraprofessional legal work. Based in the Wellington Webb Building, you will interact with attorneys, various city agencies, and City Council. The Denver City’s Attorney's Office is one of the largest law firms in Colorado, with approximately 120 attorneys and approximately 120 staff members comprised of paralegals, victim advocates, and other support staff members. Clients include the Mayor; the Auditor; the Clerk and Recorder; City Council; and all city agencies, departments, offices, boards, commissions and authorities. Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a team player who is detail-oriented and wants to be a part of a team of professionals whose primary focus is legal support. You must be self-motivated, very dependable and think critically. The candidate should thrive in a demanding environment that is constantly changing and be willing to assist with additional duties when needed. The Paralegal II should possess the following capabilities:
Possession of Paralegal Certification/Degree from an accredited institution with at least two (2) years of full-time paralegal experience in a public or private office, not including internships. A minimum of at least four (4) years of full-time paralegal experience in a public or private law office, not including internships if no possession of Paralegal Certification/Degree.
Required Minimum Qualifications We realize your time is valuable so please do not apply if you do not have at least the following required minimum qualifications: Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of full-time paralegal experience in a public or private law office, not including internships Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements
