Job summary

LegalPeople is seeking a seasoned Paralegal to join its in-house legal team for a large energy and infrastructure company. You will draft and revise documents, support financing deals end-to-end, and assist with due diligence and research in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years in finance-related paralegal work, a bachelor's degree, and strong organization and communication skills. Remote work in the United States is supported, with an immediate start after interviews.

LegalPeople is hiring a Paralegal for the in-house legal team of a large, publicly traded company in the energy and infrastructure sector. The team is growing quickly. You’ll support complex, time-sensitive financing transactions, working closely with attorneys and subject matter experts in a fast-paced, collaborative group.

What you’ll do

• Draft and revise transaction and legal documents based on attorney input
• Support financing deals from start to close, including closing deliverables and deadlines
• Help with investor due diligence: find, organize and review project documents for completeness and to meet disclosure requirements
• Do legal and transaction-related research
• Contribute to special projects across the legal department

What you bring

• 5+ years of paralegal experience, ideally in finance transactions (project finance, corporate finance, lending or similar). Energy experience isn’t required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and organization, and the ability to juggle several deals at once with limited supervision
• Clear communication, and you stay steady under pressure
• Paralegal certification preferred
