Legacy Legal Recruiting LLC is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal in Dallas, TX. You will manage a busy caseload from inception through trial, draft pleadings and discovery, organize files, and coordinate hearings while maintaining strong client communication.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of family law experience, understands Texas procedures, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative team. This is a long-term opportunity with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of family law paralegal experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of Texas family law procedures and court rules.
• Experience handling a high-volume caseload in a law firm environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, enforcement actions, and related proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and organize case files, exhibits, and trial notebooks.
• Manage case deadlines, court filings, and attorney calendars.
• Coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings.
• Review and summarize financial records, tax returns, bank statements, and other supporting documentation.
• Communicate directly with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom support as needed.
• Maintain accurate case management records and ensure timely follow-up on all matters.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff


• Paralegal certificate preferred but not required based on experience

Preferred Experience

• Trial preparation and courtroom support


• Drafting complex family law pleadings and discovery


• Reviewing financial documents and preparing asset summaries


• E-filing experience in Texas state courts
