Job Title: Paralegal — Estate Planning (Expanding Practice)

Job Type: Full-time, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST

About the Role:

Our client is a California law firm expanding its estate planning practice. They are seeking a Paralegal withgeneral estate and trust planning experience to support the growing estate planning caseload, workingalongside the firm's existing team. Candidates should be comfortable workingwith a variety of estate planningintake forms. Special needs planning experience is a bonus, not a requirement — that piece can be taught.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Intake: Manage and process estate planning intake forms and client questionnaires. Plus,Conduct intake calls and follow-ups to gather necessary information from clients.
  • Document Drafting & Preparation: Draft and prepare estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives) for attorney review.
  • Document Drafting & Preparation: Organize and maintain client files in Clio in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Case Management: Track case milestones, deadlines, and document execution status for each estate planning matter. Coordinate with clients and attorneys to schedule signing appointments and consultations.
  • Support: Provide general paralegal support to attorneys as the estate planning practice grows,including light legal research on state-specific estate planning requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience: General estate and trust planning paralegal experience required; comfortable workingwith a variety of estate planning intake forms and documentation.

Systems: Experience with Clio or similar case management software preferred; comfortable learningnew systems quickly.

Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, given the sensitivity and precision required in estateplanning documents.

Work Style: Reliable, organized, and comfortable working remotely with a U.S.-based team duringCalifornia business hours.

Nice to Have:

WealthCounsel experience is a significant bonus.

Special needs planning experience (e.g., special needs trusts) — not required; the firm will train theright candidate.

Bilingual (English/Spanish).
