Job summary

The Scoular Company is seeking a Paralegal to support its Legal Department with contract drafting, review, and administration, as well as litigation, regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters.

The role reports to the Senior Paralegal and works under the direction of Company attorneys to prep, review, and manage contracts and related documents, track deadlines, and coordinate workflows.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in paralegal studies or related field.
• At least three years of in-house or law firm paralegal experience.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts.
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and format contracts using approved templates and guidance.
• Identify key terms, obligations, deadlines, risks, and inconsistencies in agreements.
• Maintain contract files, trackers, templates, clause libraries, and contract-management systems.
• Coordinate contract intake, approvals, signatures, execution, distribution, and filing.
• Assist with audits, due diligence, regulatory requests, and records requests.
• Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to ensure contracts and other legal matters are completed accurately.
