Job summary

MasTec Power Delivery is seeking a paralegal to manage and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

You will review, redline, and negotiate upstream and downstream construction contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements, coordinate insurance and bonds, and assist with dispute resolution and subpoenas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2-4 years of contract administration and review, preferably in construction/engineering.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

The paralegal position manages and administers contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. This role supports operations with contracting needs including reviewing, redlining, and negotiating upstream and downstream construction contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, and credit applications, as well as requesting related insurance and bonds. The position may also involve dispute resolution and negotiation, as well as coordinating responses to subpoenas and other legal documents. The ideal candidate is a paralegal with a background in utility construction contracts.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in contract administration and review, ideally within a construction, engineering, or project-based environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: A Paralegal certificate is preferred
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the construction or engineering industry is highly desirable.
