You will draft agreements, coordinate due diligence, and support closing activities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years CRE experience, strong organization, MS Office skills, and a paralegal certificate if possible.

• Experience with MS Office and computer assisted legal resources.

• Draft purchase and sale agreements, correspondence and memoranda.
• Draft commercial loan closing documents and related memoranda.
• Coordinate title, survey, zoning, insurance, UCC, and due diligence materials.
• Prepare pre- and post-closing packages and handle e-recording tasks.
• Collaborate with Finance Department on financial transactions.

Harris Beach Murtha’s Commercial Real Estate practice group is in search of a Paralegal. This talented individual will primarily be working directly with institutional lenders, corporations, partnerships and other entities in the financing, sale and purchase of commercial real estate. You will THRIVE in this role if you have:

• 5+ years legal experience working in commercial real estate transactions

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree (preferred), paralegal certificate (preferred)
• Experience with MS office and expertise with computer assisted legal resources

• Sound judgment and a sense of accountability for working independently and proactively
• Exceptional oral and written communication, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
• Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
• Superior client service and listening skills for anticipating needs of clients and attorneys

The Paralegal will draft purchase and sale agreements, correspondence and memoranda, and handle multi-family and multi-state transactions. Do you have the DRIVE and DESIRE to:

• Review loan commitment letters, draft checklists etc.
• Draft commercial loan closing documents, correspondence and memoranda
• Coordinate and review title, survey, zoning, insurance, municipal search, UCC, litigation, bankruptcy, and corporate due diligence materials
• Prepare pre- and post-closing packages
• Attend to all aspects of post-closing follow-up, including but not limited to e-Recording, addressing recording issues, final title policy review, document transmittals to clients, follow-through on undertaking items
• Collaborate with Finance Department with respect to incoming and outgoing financial transactions

Salary information below will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position and geographic location. The anticipated weekly schedule for the Paralegal is 35 hours per week.
