A prominent company is looking for a Paralegal to join their Legal team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This role involves managing contracts, privacy compliance, and legal operations, ideal for those with a law degree and experience in commercial environments. The successful candidate can work remotely with flexible hours while contributing to impactful legal initiatives.
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Paralegal to join our Legal team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in commercial legal environments and a strong understanding of privacy and contract law. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, you’ll support a range of critical legal activities, including managing the DPO inbox, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and contributing to privacy and legal operations.
Success in this role requires excellent attention to detail, strong project management skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities across various areas of the business. You should be confident, proactive, and able to switch seamlessly between tasks while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
● Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, partner agreements, and procurement contracts.
● Support privacy compliance efforts, including managing the DPO inbox, coordinating data subject access requests, and maintaining related documentation.
● Conduct legal research and draft internal guidance notes on commercial and data protection issues.
● Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely legal support.
● Help maintain contract templates and internal legal knowledge bases.
● Support the legal team in managing external legal spend, including processing and submitting invoices to Accounts for payment.
● Participate in the continuous improvement of legal operations and processes.
What we need from you● Law degree (LLB or equivalent); LPC or SQE1 completion is preferred.
● Prior experience in a commercial legal environment, ideally in-house or within a global business.
● Strong understanding of GDPR and its application to local and cross-border legal issues.
● Excellent drafting, research and analytical skills.
● High level of attention to detail, with strong organisational and project management abilities.
● A self-starter with a proactive attitude who thrives when managing multiple, simultaneous projects.
● Comfortable juggling responsibilities and switching between tasks and roles efficiently.
