The role focuses on handling medical records, discovery, and drafting documents for attorneys while maintaining strict confidentiality and organization across case files.

You will collaborate with attorneys, physicians, and court personnel to ensure timely filings and accurate document management in a professional, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Paralegal education or certification preferred.
• Experience with medical records and discovery processes helpful.
• Strong organizational and confidentiality skills.

We are currently looking for a full-time Worker s Compensation Paralegal to help us meet the needs of our growing legal practice.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for all billable tasks: medical records, discovery, etc.
• Drafts various legal documents for attorney review
• Requests, follows-up on, and organizes medical record files
• E-File documents within appropriate court filing systems (Kansas City)
• Manages and organizes case files
• Researches and analyzes case data
• Drafts discovery
• Communicates with outside counsel, physicians, court personnel and other experts
• Bills time contemporaneously
• Assists attorneys with case-related requests
• Responds to record and legal documentation requests
• Answers phone calls, takes messages or transfers calls to appropriate parties
• Works with highly confidential information and always maintains utmost confidentiality
• Acts in a stewardship capacity for MVP, works as a genuine, confident, functional member of the team, is hardworking with the ability to be innovative and firm focused in alignment with our core values
• Other duties as assigned
