Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a paralegal to support in-house counsel with moderate to high-risk product liability matters. You will coordinate between attorneys and business units and work with outside counsel to ensure information is prepared for trial. Matters can exceed $10M in exposure.

You will manage discovery, settlements documentation, inquiries, reporting to senior management, and other business needs in a dynamic legal department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in-house or with a large law firm handling litigation.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and reporting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

This paralegal position is responsible for supporting in-house counsel in the evaluation and handling of moderate and high-risk product liability matters. The position requires coordinating between the attorney and business units for the collection of information relevant to the case, and working with outside counsel to ensure they have the necessary information to develop the case for trial. The litigation matters at issue can carry a risk of more than $10M dollars.
