Job summary

A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a Paralegal to join their Intake team in Seal Beach. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and organization, assist attorneys in civil cases, review records, and manage data. A Bachelor's degree and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program are required. This is a full-time, in-office role with a range of benefits including medical coverage and a 401(k).

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with preparation of civil cases and attend trials.

• Motion writing experience, such as opposition to motions including discovery motions, motion to continue trial
• Proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and able to learn other programs including document and case management systems
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision and exceptional attention to detail
• Maintaining accurate and prompt recording of billable time

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Familiarity with performing research tasks using web‑based legal research services
• Experience working with paperless files. iManage experience a plus
• Must successfully pass a background/drug screen
• Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from ABA‑approved program required.
