Jobot is seeking a paralegal for a national civil litigation firm specializing in mesothelioma cases. The role supports attorneys through all phases of litigation, from onset to trial, including drafting pleadings and discovery.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from onset through trial.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, authorizations, interrogatories, transmittal letters, and other legal documents.
• File summonses and complaints, and work with vendors to effectuate service.
• Prepare discovery requests and responses.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions.
• Track and monitor client files, calendars, and provide status updates.
• Perform extensive internal and on-line legal research (court rules and procedures).
• Assist with trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, coordinate with experts, opposing counsel, and court staff.

Our client is a national civil litigation firm that focuses on mesothelioma cases. They are rapidly expanding and taking on a lot of new cases and clients.

Day to Day

1. Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from onset through trial;
2. Draft pleadings, correspondence, authorizations, interrogatories, transmittal letters, and other legal documents;
3. File summonses and complaints, and work with vendors to effectuate service;
4. Prepare discovery requests and responses;
5. Coordinate and schedule depositions;
