Horn Williamson, LLC, a WBENC certified law firm, seeks a Plaintiffs Litigation Paralegal in a fast-growing, high-energy civil litigation practice. You will draft, file, and manage discovery and pleadings while organizing materials for depositions, hearings, and trials.

The ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor’s degree with a Paralegal Certificate and at least 5 years of civil litigation experience; strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree and Paralegal Certificate required.
• Minimum 5 years' civil litigation experience.
• Excellent organizational and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in a group.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, iManage, Kofax/Nuance, and eDiscovery software.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file discovery and pleadings.
• Prepare and organize documents needed for depositions, hearings, trials, mediations, etc.
• Knowledge of local court rules and ability to e-file.
• Provide detailed, focused, and proactive litigation support.
• Heavy client contact and ability to manage multiple matters.
• Obtain documents from clients and other sources.
• Draft correspondences and maintain client electronic files.
• Assist in management of eDiscovery, including organization, searches, productions, redactions and log preparation.
• Research rules and procedures and compile information for attorney review.
• Maintain excellent working relations with clients, lawyers, staff, and outside contacts.
• Prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Complete special projects and duties as needed.
