Job summary

Winget, Spadafora & Schwartzberg, LLP's Miami Office is hiring a paralegal with 1-3 years of experience to support attorneys in a national insurance defense firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a paralegal in a mid-sized to large law firm.
• Experience billing time.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and proofreading skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform electronic research using Westlaw and Pacer.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Must be willing to work overtime when required.

• Conduct case research via Westlaw and Pacer, as well as FINRA arbitrator research.
• Draft opinions as required.
• Identify and organize exhibits.
• E-file with State and Federal courts.
• Work with vendors for electronic litigation support.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial presentation.
• Communicate with vendors and other third-party organizations on a regular basis.
• Special projects as assigned.
