Job summary

Leaders Credit Union in Jackson, Tennessee is seeking a Paralegal to support our Legal Counsel, prepare and review contracts and regulatory documents, and ensure compliance across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a member-owned financial cooperative with a strong community focus.

You will manage legal files, perform thorough legal research, coordinate with internal departments, and stay current on laws affecting the financial industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in paralegal studies, legal studies, or related field (preferred).
• Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, ideally in a financial institution or law firm.

Responsibilities

• Assist Legal Counsel in preparing and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory compliance issues.
• Manage and organize legal files, documents, and records.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary information for legal matters.

What does a day as a Paralegal at Leaders Credit Union look like?

What is the schedule?

Our hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Sometimes giving top-notch member service may require a little overtime, but we value work-life-balance and do our best to limit this.
