Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal degree required.
  • 0–3 years of relevant paralegal experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with employment contracts/agreements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys with liability claims, including document production, privilege review, and communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Independently coordinate and manage discovery requests in litigation, including gathering, reviewing, and organizing responsive documents.
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to discovery obligations and assist in maintaining compliance with court deadlines.
  • Assist with meetings preparation, including agendas and distribution of materials.
  • Create and maintain corporate and legal forms, documents, reports, policies and procedures, corporate governance documentation, and spreadsheets.
  • Assist in creating presentations and updates and maintains databases.
  • Manage various projects as determined appropriate and assigned.

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our team in the role of Paralegal. This position is full-time with a hybrid flexible schedule. This position has onsite responsibility at Fairbanks Hall in Indianapolis, IN.

Role Responsibilities
  • Serves as a liaison between attorneys and internal and external business and legal contacts.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

Preferred:

  • Paralegal Degree or Certification.
  • 3+ yeas of paralegal experience.
  • Experience working with employment contracts/agreements.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal degree required.
  • Requires 0–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
