Job summary

Michigan Auto Law in Grand Rapids is seeking a dedicated paralegal to support our top-producing team in pursuing justice for auto accident victims. While familiarity with Michigan no-fault law is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who is reliable and eager to learn.

The role involves client communication, case intake, medical records management, drafting demand letters, file management, and coordinating with attorneys to move cases toward settlements or litigation as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in legal intake is preferred but training is available.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact for clients during the pre-litigation phase with timely updates.

The right person should be passionate about achieving justice for their clients after being seriously injured in an auto accident. • Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the pre-litigation phase, providing updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Case Intake Investigation: Assist with the initial intake of new clients, gather and review all necessary documentation, including accident reports, medical records, and insurance information.
• Medical Records Management: Obtain and organize medical records, bills, and other relevant documents to support the client's claim.
• Demand Package Preparation: Draft and submit comprehensive demand letters to insurance companies, summarizing the client's case, injuries, and damages.
• File Management: Maintain and organize case files, ensuring that all relevant documents, correspondence, and evidence are properly stored and easily accessible.
• Collaboration with Attorneys: Work closely with pre-litigation attorneys to ensure cases are progressing efficiently and are ready for settlement negotiations or litigation if necessary.
• Tracking Deadlines: Monitor case deadlines, including statutes of limitations, and ensure timely filing of claims.
