Job description

Keurig Dr Pepper, Inc. (KDP) is seeking a business-minded and self-motivated Paralegal to be based out of its corporate offices at Frisco, Texas. The Paralegal will be an integral member of the KDP Legal Department.

Primary responsibilities of the role will be to support KDP’s litigation, employment and commercial in-house legal teams. This role will support the department’s legal hold, e-discovery, subpoena, and general and employment litigation processes. The role will also support the company’s contracting processes from review through execution, including drafting and reviewing contracts.

Success in this role will come from exceptional paralegal skills, organizational skills, communication skills, initiative to take on diverse responsibilities across the KDP Legal Department, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role reports to the Vice President, Assistant General Counsel who oversees litigation, commercial legal support, and legal operations.

This position is a hybrid role based in Frisco, TX, with in-office work from Tuesday to Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Play an integral role within the KDP Legal Department and the litigation and commercial legal team, which includes a VP, Assistant General Counsel and two Corporate Counsel (based in Frisco, Texas), in close interaction with the KDP fountain foodservice and sales teams, to support commercial contracting and commercial and class action litigation.
  • Support the labor and employment legal team with legal holds, employment records requests, discovery, and responding to subpoenas and information requests from government agencies.
  • Continually improve litigation and pre-litigation processes.
  • Draft and review contracts for internal clients and coordinate contract workflow through manual and electronic processes. Advise internal clients regarding the terms of commercial contracts, including explaining contractual provisions and identifying risks.
  • Continually improve contract workflow processes to identify efficiencies and facilitate timely execution of agreements. Update legal templates and processes and assist with the review, management and organization of template contracts and contractual language.
  • General support to the KDP Legal Department and the litigation and commercial Legal team.
  • As required and/or directed, coordinate with outside counsel, KDP attorneys, other KDP functions and counterparts in other departments.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Total Rewards
  • Salary Range: $70,500 -$105,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant in-house or law firm paralegal experience
  • High degree of familiarity with commercial contract drafting and litigation processes
  • Experience supporting commercial contract lifecycle management and document management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong business judgment, and ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders from different disciplines outside of and within a team
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and new areas
  • Proficiency with relevant Microsoft Office software programs, specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle high volume and work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize among competing deadlines
