Job summary

Jobot is seeking a paralegal with litigation experience in Dallas, TX for a large and well-established law firm. The role is on-site, permanent, and requires an undergraduate degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate with strong litigation support skills and case management capabilities.

You will assist attorneys with pleadings, discovery, document review, and trial preparation, coordinating with clients and staff, and using litigation software tools.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
• Experience in litigation support and case management.
• Familiarity with Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with clients, contacts, attorneys, and staff.
• Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, conducting factual and legal research, and supporting hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery.
• Research, organize and summarize records to support data gathering and document organization.
• Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses.
• Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings and coordinating witnesses.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate professionally, productively, and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, other paralegals, and all other professional staff.
• Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, performing factual and legal research, reviewing and analyzing documents, and supporting preparations for hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery.
• Research, organize and summarize records, as needed, to assist in data gathering, including organizing of information and documents in databases.
• Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses.
• Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses and requests with outside vendors, and live trial support.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree and/or an ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
• Experience in litigation support and case management.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
• Experience drafting and organizing discovery – both written discovery and document production.
• Experience preparing for and assisting at trial.
• Familiarity with the Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Experience with Summation Pro, Relativity or comparable litigation support software.
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and technical skills.
