We're committed to giving children back their childhood!**Job Posting Title:**Paralegal**Location:**Dallas - Hospital**Additional Posting Details:**Monday - Friday8:00am - 4:30pm**Job Description:**# **Duties/Responsibilities*** Work closely with Scottish Rite legal team in delivering high quality and professional service to Scottish Rite management.* Draft, review, and analyze various legal documents* Perform legal research and compile data on a wide variety of health care, compliance, HIPPA, risk management, estate law, licensing, general corporate, and litigation issues.* Review and revise contracts and other documents for organization and accuracy.* Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and institutional information.* Assist with contract management process for hospital, from intake through execution.* Assist the Director of Compliance with Compliance and HIPPA administration processes relating to the Compliance Work Plan, auditing and reporting.# **Required Skills/Abilities*** Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Paralegal Studies is required (bachelor’s degree is preferred)* Industry-recognized certification from organizations such as NALA or AACP preferred* Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably within a legal or health care setting* Organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task.* Excellent communication and organization abilities* Strong research and report-generating skills* Experience in using legal database software.* Ability to read and comprehend legal documents, statutes, laws, rules, and regulations.* Excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities, and presentation skills;* Ability to establish and maintain good communications, including presenting information and responding to questions with internal clients and third parties.* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and otherwise computer literate.* Strong interpersonal skills for working in a team-centric environment.### About UsAt Scottish Rite for Children, we work together with the common goal of helping give children back their childhood.
