Job summary

Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas, TX seeks a Research Coordinator to support clinical research efforts for our Pediatric Developmental Disorders (PDD) program. The role involves coordinating regulatory documents, identifying eligible patients, obtaining informed consent, and maintaining research databases.

Work Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, on-site at the hospital. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of clinical research experience and CCRP certification;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in clinical research with CCRP certification.
  • Proficient in Windows; spreadsheet software knowledge a plus.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of research and regulatory documents for IRB and advisory panels.
  • Identify eligible patients and obtain informed consent.
  • Collect, validate, and enter data into research databases or spreadsheets.
  • Assist with abstracts, manuscripts and other presentations as needed.
  • Supervise summer students/interns and train new Level I/II Coordinators.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of research and regulatory documents for Research Advisory Panel, Institutional Review Board, and other regulatory agencies
  • Identify eligible patients and obtain informed consent
  • Collect, validate, and enter data into research databases or spreadsheets
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of abstracts, journal manuscripts and other presentations as needed
  • Supervise summer students/interns and contribute to the training of Level I and new Level II Research Coordinators

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in clinical research CCRP certification
  • Must have proficient computer skills in a Windows environment; spreadsheet software knowledge a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other health professionals as well as substantial interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with patients, their families, and the community.
  • Critical thinking skills and time management skills are required; must have the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
