Job summary

A legal services company is seeking a Paralegal for its Regional Operations, Regulatory & Compliance team in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The role will involve supporting the VP & Chief Counsel with regulatory tasks and special projects. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, a Paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience, alongside at least 4 years of relevant legal experience. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate preferred.
• 4+ years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Experience with New Jersey Municipal Court litigation is preferred.

Job description

Description: The position of Paralegal for Regional Operations, Regulatory & Compliance will assist with providing the VP & Chief Counsel Regional Operations, Regulatory & Compliance with day-to-day regulatory paralegal support for the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland gaming jurisdictions as well as providing assistance with special projects and performing other operational assignments as needed.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Paralegal at a law firm, in-house corporate legal department or equivalent legal experience.
• New Jersey Municipal Court litigation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and analyze Federal, State and County statutes, rules, and regulations.
• Basic Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and Adobe Professional skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to efficiently manage large workload and react promptly to multiple deadlines while meeting personal objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, drafting and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and efficient, with good business judgment and analytical skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.
