Job summary

Coronado High School in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Limited Appointment Instructional Support Paraeducator to assist a certified teacher, adapt curriculum, administer tests, monitor IEP progress, and document student activities.

Under supervision, you will provide one-on-one/group tutoring, monitor behavior, help with grading, and support testing and data entry. Starting date is To Be Determined; pay grade J; non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and some educational/clerical experience.
• Experience supporting classroom activities and record-keeping is preferred.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and assist with tests and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher with classroom instruction and modifying work for students needing adjustments.
• Provides tutoring to individuals or small groups across subject areas as needed.
• Monitors student behavior and escorts students around campus as required.
• Assists with cleanup and preparing materials for activities.
• Helps organize assignments and prepare homework folders.
• Assists with grading papers and recording progress.
• Attends in-service trainings and related meetings.
• Participates in testing and enters student data into computer systems.
• Maintains bulletin boards and classroom displays; communicates with parents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
