Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support classroom instruction under the supervision of a certified teacher. The role involves adapting curriculum, administering tests, monitoring IEP progress, and documenting student progress.

You will assist with grading, prepare materials, supervise students, and help with field trips or campus activities as needed. A high school diploma or GED and relevant experience are required; first aid/CPR readiness is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of educational or clerical experience.
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
• Valid DPS Arizona FPCC

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher by helping with classroom instruction and adapting instruction for students with modifications.
• Provides one-on-one or group tutoring in various curricular areas as needed.
• Monitors students' behavior inside and outside the classroom and escorts students on campus.
• Assists with clean-up and other related tasks after daily activities.
• Prepares classroom for activities and organizes assignments.
• Assists with grading papers.
• Attends in-service trainings and meetings.
• Tests students in academic and social progress; enters progress in computer systems.
• Maintains bulletin boards, displays, and classroom materials; contacts parents; makes copies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
