  • Ability/desire to work with technology and computers.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff.
  • Ability to supervise students.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance, including completing an assigned day.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Must be physically able to perform position responsibilities, including physical factors, work devices, materials handling, data functions and people functions, but not limited to toileting, feeding and self‑care procedures, implementing behavioral management program, maintaining student data, and working with students who may display aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate verbal and/or physical behavior.
  • Must be physically working in the building.

Duties

Rate of Pay

$20.85/hour to $24.15/hour DOQ with K‑12 experience.

$22.00/hour to $25.30/hour with AA/AAS degree or 60 semester/90 quarter credits from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K‑12 experience.

$22.85/hour to $26.15/hour with BA degree from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K‑12 experience.

Special Ed Paras serving Center‑based students and classrooms 50 percent or more of their time shall receive an additional $0.50 per hour.

Special Ed Paras at Two Rivers Transition Program shall receive an additional $1.00 per hour. Special Ed Paras at River Trail Learning Center shall receive an additional $1.50 per hour.

*Candidates must have completed 60 semester/90 quarter credits or obtained an associate's degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited institution or passed the ParaEducator exam or ParaPro exam. (Documentation will be required)
