Job summary

Sylvania in Champlin, MN seeks a Paraeducator Secondary for full-time work across 184 days at 7 hours per day. Secondary Paraeducators assist and support students and teachers in classrooms at the high school and middle school levels with various instructional and supportive tasks.

Essential Functions

• Assist and support students and teachers in specific departments.
• Under the direction of the teacher/administrator, assist students individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
• Assist in the following areas or departments: Audio/Visual Dept, Guidance Dept/Counseling Dept/Planning Center, Hall Supervision/Cafeteria Supervision, In‑School Suspension Supervision, Copy Room/Mailroom, Media Center, Study Hall/Independent Study Supervision, Behavior Support Rooms, and Testing Support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Rate of Pay

• $20.00/hour to $23.00/hour, DOQ with K‑12 experience*
• $21.15/hour to $24.15/hour with AA/AAS degree or 60 semester/90 quarter credits from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K‑12 experience*
• $22.00/hour to $25.00/hour with BA degree from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K‑12 experience

Start Date: 8/31/26.

Paraeducators assigned to positions of six (6) or more hours per day are eligible for insurance benefits.
