SUBSTITUTE - ON CALL

POSITION:

Paraeducator

TYPE:

These positions work Monday-Friday; 7 hours per day/184-day calendar year

COMPENSATION:

Range 28; Schedule M; Step 1: $21.54 - Step 5: $26.15

TYPE OF RECRUITMENT:

This is an OPEN recruitment to establish a list of substitutes for the classification of Paraeducator. No effort will be made to maintain a rank order of the applicants (P.C. Rule 60.100.5).

TESTING PROCEDURE:

The examination process will consist of a written examination. Applications will be screened on a regular basis, and testing will be scheduled throughout the year as needed.

Applicants will be notified of their application status via email.

DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of an administrator and general direction of a classroom teacher and specialist, assist in the instructional support, behavioral support, personal care, and supervision of students with a wide range of disabilities. Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Passing the Paraeducator Competency Examination.

Experience:

One (1) year of experience working with special needs students.
