Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Pass a State approved assessment such as Workkeys, ParaPro, or Para Educator.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials under the direction of the supervising/lead teacher to support students.
• Administers tests, homework, and make-up work to support lead teachers in general and special education classrooms.
• Assists medically fragile or physically disabled students for personal hygiene.
• Maintains instructional materials to ensure availability and meet requirements.
• Monitors students to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
• Provides instruction to students in individual and small group activities to reinforce objectives.
