The Olympia School District seeks a Security Paraeducator to support students and staff in a safe, inclusive environment across hallways, common areas, and restrooms as needed. This long-term substitute runs 9/3/26–1/22/27, with hours 10:00 am–4:00 pm, Monday–Friday.
Responsibilities include assisting teachers with lesson implementation, basic clerical tasks, monitoring students, and collaborating with administrators on safety plans.
The job of "Paraeducator” is done for the purpose/s of assisting (under direct supervision) in the supervision and instruction of students, and relieving teachers of routine clerical tasks.
This position is a long-term substitute security position from 9/3/26 - 1/22/27. Position works 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
The Olympia High School Security Paraeducator plays a key role in building a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment where all students can learn and thrive. This position involves working directly with students in a variety of settings that includes hallways, common areas, locker rooms, and restrooms when needed all the while maintaining professionalism and respect for students and staff at all times. The Security Paraeducator partners with school administration to promote positive student behavior, review conduct concerns, develop safety plans and assist with security footage as needed. We are looking for someone who enjoys connecting with students, can stay calm and level-headed under pressure, and brings flexibility, kindness, and strong judgment to a fast-paced school day.
