Kent School District is seeking a paraeducator for a long term temporary assignment with 4.5 hours per day under the 189-day KAP calendar. Compensation is hourly, with min $29.43 and max $36.18, and salary is annualized and spread through August.

Qualified candidates must meet WA state paraeducator requirements (AA degree or 72 credits or ParaPro score 455) and will complete state-required training after hire.

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
• If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate, you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Paraeducator Requirements

Prior to starring, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
• If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate, you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Post Hire Requirements:

Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
