Job summary

Kent School District is seeking a Paraeducator in Multilingual Education (MLE) for a Long Term Temporary position. Salary is annualized and spread through August under the KAP Salary Schedule.

Hours per day may vary with student days. Candidates must meet state paraeducator requirements, including an associate degree or 72 college credits or an ETS ParaPro score of 455+ plus high school completion or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:
• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
• If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate, you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Paraeducator Requirements

Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:

Post Hire Requirements

Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
