Job summary

Bristol Public Schools seeks Paraeducators for the Lead Program at West Bristol School. 13 positions available. You will work under the supervision of a special education teacher to support small group and individual instruction.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional activities, maintaining classroom discipline, assisting with IEP implementation, supervising students during recess and lunch, and helping prepare materials and paperwork. PMT may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of college credit or an associate's degree or successful completion of Parapro Assessment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with instruction under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Assist teacher with instructional activities.
• Maintain discipline in the classroom and supervise students during recess and lunch.
• Assist with IEP implementation and prepare materials and paperwork.
• Escort students between rooms and assist with toileting as needed.
