Job summary

New paraeducators start at grade 15 with potential promotion after six months of probation and required training hours. This is a full-time position with a .875 schedule (70 hours bi-weekly).

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; bachelor's preferred; coursework in education including behavior management is ideal.
• One year of experience with students in structured educational settings preferred.
• 48 college credits and two years of experience in a structured setting may be acceptable.
• Two years of applicable education, training, and experience may be considered; PARApro score 455+ may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional activities and classroom management to support students with IEPs.
• Support students in general education classes and specialized instructional settings.
• Follow teacher instructions and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Perform clerical tasks to assist teachers and staff as needed.
