Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools searches for a Paraeducator Level II at Sherwood Elementary School to support preschool education programs. Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development, instructional strategies and practices; policies of MCPS.
• Ability to assist with implementation of instructional program and monitor student behaviour.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and to read/write/speak English.
• Familiarity with standard computer hardware and software such as Google Workspace, MS Office and web-based instructional tools.
• Willingness to learn the SSPGS seven core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Promote student learning and well-being to support students with IEPs.
• Assist with academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical needs.
• Facilitate learning activities in general education or specialized settings.
• Provide classroom management support and clerical tasks for teachers.
