Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a Paraeducator Level II at College Gardens Elementary School to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student receiving Autism Connections services. The 6-hour per day, 10-month position focuses on assisting with academic tasks and behavioral support to help the student access the curriculum.

The paraeducator collaborates with teachers, follows IEP goals, and may participate in off-site activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and instructional goals.
• Ability to implement instructional programs and monitor behavior.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Ability to read/write/speak English.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, MS Office, and web-based tools.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 paraeducator support for a student with Autism Connections services.
• Assist with instruction and classroom management in general and specialized settings.
• Support student access to curriculum and alternate academic standards.
• Assist with clerical tasks to support teachers and staff.
