Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools is seeking a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for the Integrated Communication & Sensory Program. This 6.5-hour/day position runs nine months per year and is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The role supports classroom instruction, behavior management, and communication goals under guidance from certificated staff. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, plus additional education or ParaPro assessment; one year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; transcripts or ParaPro results may be requested with application.
• One year of related experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with classroom activities and IEP goals.
• Monitor and support student behavior and engagement.
• Assist with data entry, record keeping and instructional materials.
