Job summary

Central High School in Manchester, NH, is seeking a Paraeducator to support students with disabilities and assist teachers from preschool through high school within the Manchester School District.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma (Para-Educator I).
• Para-Educator II requires two years of college (48 credits) or an Associate Degree or NH DOE certification.
• Experience with children and adolescents in educational settings.
• Ability to instruct students in mathematics, reading, science, social studies, art, and related subjects.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers, program coordinators, and specialists in instructional and clerical duties for students with disabilities.
• Perform instructional tasks with limited supervision across relevant subjects.
• Develop teaching materials and instructional aids.
• Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments.
• Help students to and from transportation, recess, lunch, and other school periods.
