The position starts October 20 and offers a 180-day calendar with 6.5-hour days. Requires high school diploma and either an AA or 72 quarter credits or approved paraeducator assessments. Union eligibility applies; background check required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher or have completed 72 college quarter credit hours or passed ParaPro/Paraprofessional assessments.
• Official documentation will be required upon hire; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs.
• Support students' health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assist staff with classroom prep, retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies.
• May supervise students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, self-contained rooms, playgrounds, or during bus loading/offloading.
