Lake Washington School District seeks a paraprofessional to assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs. The role supports daily living skills and health care needs, and helps prepare and store instructional materials.
Position includes supervising students in community settings, job internships, and outings, with a 180-day calendar and 7-hour days, typically Monday-Thursday and 3 hours on Fridays.

Shift: Shift subject to change. Typically Transition Academy schedule includes full 7-hour work days, Monday-Thursday, and 3 hour work days on Fridays.
Location: Transition Academy is one program, located on 3 neighboring sites. This posting is for the entire program, and position can be placed at any of the sites.
Hourly Rate: $30.79/hour position (SC7ParaEd26-27.pdf) is eligible for membership in the Teamsters Local Union No. 763 which is part of the Lake Washington School District Trades Bargaining Council No. 763 (TBC).
Assists teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students of all educational levels who have physical or behavioral needs or are medically fragile. Supports students' special health care needs and develops daily living and behavioral skills. Assists staff with classroom preparation and retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies. Supervise and assist students in community settings for job internships, volunteer sites, leisure activities, shopping outings, taking public transportation, and getting on and off a school bus.
