Job summary

Regional School District 12 is seeking a Paraeducator to support certified staff in regular and specialized instructional settings. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, behavior support, and monitoring students under supervision.

The position runs 7:30am to 1:15pm daily, starting August 19, 2026, and reports to the classroom teacher, principal, and district administrators. Prior experience with children is preferred, and completion of two years of college or an Associate's

Qualifications

• Completion of 2 years of study at an institution of higher education, OR earned an Associate's Degree (or higher), OR achieve at least a score of 457 on the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
• Demonstrated competence in basic skills of reading, oral and written language, and math.
• Proficiency in the use of a computer and the ability to work with office machines and other technology.
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with students and adults.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Prior experience working with children is preferred
