Job summary

Groton Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator at Fitch High School (9-12) for an ASAP start. This role supports students with diverse needs and assists with implementing lessons under the Special Education Teacher's guidance.

The position pays $17.94 per hour and operates under the Groton Paraeducators Chapter CSEA/SEIU Local 2001 wage scale. Applicants must meet college credit/degree options or pass the ParaPro/ParaPathways assessment within 90 days of start.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit (60 credits total) required.
• An associate's degree or higher is acceptable.
• ParaPro/ParaPathways Assessment completed within 90 days of start date.
• Ability to work with children with multiple needs.
• Capacity to implement lessons written by the Special Education Teacher.
• Ability to work cooperatively with Administration, Regular Education Teachers, staff and Parents.
