DC Army National Guard seeks a Parachute Rigger to ensure safe packing and maintenance of parachutes and related gear. You will participate in airborne training and perform duties that protect personnel and equipment during airdrop operations.

The role emphasizes meticulous packing, inspection, repair, and storage of parachutes and equipment, with training provided during Basic and Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rig supplies, equipment, and vehicles for airdrop.
• Perform inspections on parachutes and airdrop equipment before, during, and after use.
• Inventory, store, and issue all airdrop equipment.
• Use machines/tools for fabrication, modification and repair to parachutes.
• Inspect, test, and install extraction and release systems.
