Job summary

Port Angeles School District in Port Angeles, WA is seeking a Special Education Bus Paraeducator to provide behavioral, social-emotional, personal, and supervisory support to students on the bus with significant and/or complex special education needs.

The paraeducator helps students stay safely seated, develop independence and functional skills during bus transit, and supports progress toward goals identified in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Position SummaryThe Special Education Bus Paraeducator provides behavioral, social-emotional, personal, and supervisory support to students on the bus with significant and/or complex special education needs. The paraeducator assists students in staying safely seated and helps students develop independence and functional skills on the bus, supporting students in making progress toward goals identified through their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The Special Education Bus Paraeducator may support multiple students throughout the bus route while the Bus Driver drives the bus.
