Job summary

Position Summary

The Special Education Bus Paraeducator provides behavioral, social-emotional, personal, and supervisory support to students on the bus with significant and/or complex special education needs. The paraeducator assists students in staying safely seated and helps students develop independence and functional skills on the bus, supporting students in making progress toward goals identified through their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The Special Education Bus Paraeducator may support multiple students throughout the bus route while the Bus Driver drives the bus.
