Responsibilities include adapting activities, aiding students, assisting with personal care needs, attending trainings, and maintaining progress records. Strong teamwork and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks and may require updating abilities to meet changing conditions.
• Knowledge includes basic math, reading instructions, and following multi-step directions.
• Ability to schedule activities, work with data, and collaborate with a diverse group.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials under teacher direction to support inclusion.
• Aids students inside/outside the classroom, including field trips and social skills.
• Assists with personal care needs as required to support student functioning.
• Attends meetings and trainings to meet state requirements and learn strategies.
• Collaborates with staff to support student progress per IEP.
• Implements behavior plans to help meet IEP goals under supervision.
• Instructs students in activities to meet IEP goals under certified staff.
• Maintains instructional materials and progress data for staff use.
• Monitors student safety across multiple school environments.
