Job summary

The Wenatchee School District is seeking a Para-Educator to support instructional activities in Washington. The position is six hours per day across 191 days per year, with a salary range of $20.51 to $23.02 per hour.

Under the direction of the building administrator and classroom teacher, you will assist with learning activities, prepare materials, and supervise before/after school, cafeteria, and recess. Qualifications include an AA degree or equivalent or a passed PRAXIS test.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent or PRAXIS passed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Good communication and ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Experience teaching social skills to students preferred.
• Experience with students with extreme behaviors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional program in one-on-one, small group or classroom settings.
• Prepare materials for student use and administer curriculum as directed.
• Supervise before/after school, cafeteria, and recess.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
