Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking a Para Educator at Inglewood Middle School to assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs, and to support health care needs and daily living skills.

Applicants must be 18+, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and may qualify with an AA or 72 college credits or approved assessments; background check required; 180-day calendar with 5.25 hours per day; shift TBD and located at

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• AA degree or 72 college quarter credits, or equivalent coursework.
• Passing ParaPro (455+) or Pearson Paraprofessional (220+) assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with various needs.
• Supports students' health care needs and develops daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assists staff with classroom preparation, retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies.
• May supervise students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, playgrounds, or buses.
