Qualifications

• Must hold AA or higher or 72 college quarter credits, or pass ParaPro/Paraprofessional assessments.
• Official documentation required upon hire.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students of all educational levels who have physical or behavioral needs or are medically fragile.
• Support students' health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assist staff with classroom preparation and retrieval, and with use and storage of equipment and supplies.
• May supervise and assist students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, playgrounds, or during bus loading/unloading.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree (AA) or higher OR two years of college (72 quarter credit hours)

Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment with 455+ OR Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with 220+
