Job summary

Weidmann Electrical Technology in Urbana, OH is hiring for a full-time, on-site manufacturing role. You will operate in a 24/7 environment on a 3-2-2 rotating schedule, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in a paper mill setting.

Responsibilities include inspecting products, retrieving SAP data, maintaining machine notes, and assisting with routine maintenance while working in a non-climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• Two years of manufacturing experience (paper mill experience preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper, and micrometer
• Ability to read work instructions and apply them to the job
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Ability to train others and willingness to cross-train

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive understanding of personal and machine-specific safety
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment
• Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot the quality of product and customer/order specifications
• Retrieve order specs, documentation, and order data to/from SAP
• Assist in machine maintenance and perform periodic maintenance to the machine
• Move material to and around the paper mill and stock prep area
